Our day trip to the Grand Canyon

Hoover Dam:

We went on our guided tour of the Grand Canyon and had a brief stop at the Hoover Dam.
The hoover dam is a monstrousity of concrete and even has torpedo netting in the water.
Currently the water level is 38% capacity which you see the bath ring on the rocks.

Arizona Trading Post

We had a brief stop at the Arizona Trading Post.

Joshua Trees, these are scattered all over the road side. It was quite surprising to see so much greenery so close to the canyon.
We were not allowed to stray to far from the carpark due to the rattlesnakes and mahabi greens, as an interesting side note, there is no anti venom for a mahabi green snake bite.

Simone and her pet lizard (not a mahabi green)

The Grand Canyon

This place has to be seen to be believed. It is the most amazing place and has a surreal like quality to it.
